1986: Co-organization of the World Luigi Pirandello Congress on “Pirandello: The other tongue?. The congress is held by C.U.N.Y at the Graduate Center Auditorium, New York.

1989: Co-organization of the ?.Ε.Μ.L.A Luigi Pirandello annual congress. The congress is held in New York.

2008: In charge of the organization and communication, coordinator of the Executive Committee activities and member of the scientific and organizing committee of the International Scientific two days Conference “Participatory Journalism: Blog and the New Media?, held by the Department of Journalism and Mass Media at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

Participation with papers

April 1989: Paper on «The Greek performances of Pirandello», for the World Symposium on Luigi Pirandello held by N.E.M.L.A in the USA.

June 2000: Paper on “The role of the Regional Mass Media? for the 1st Greek Regional Television Congress “Communication and Information: factors of Development – the role of the regional Mass Media?. The congress was held in Crete under the auspices of the Ministry of Press and Mass Media.

May 2003: Paper on “Globalization and Mass Media» for the 2nd International Appointment of the Global Meeting of Religions and Cultures and the Cultural Olympics 2001-2004, in Cyprus.

Participation as a scientific coordinator and chair of panel

May 1996: Chair of the panel and participation in open discussions during the International Congress “Foreign Affairs and Mass Media?, held by Mega Channel in Athens.

Due to Imia events, in these crucial times for Greece and Turkey, Mega Channel holds the 1st International Journalist Congress on how Mass Media present and obviously affect their country’s foreign policy. Leading Greek and Turkish journalists participate in the Congress. The main conclusion reached by the proceedings of the Congress is that the journalist who covers foreign affairs and bilateral relations issues has to be a profound researcher of the “other side? viewpoint. Only in this way, the speakers of the Congress presume, can mistakes be avoided on behalf of Mass Media, which may result in the rise of tension in international affairs.

May 1997: Chair of the panel and participation in open discussions during the World Congress “Television-Society-Politics? held by Mega Channel in Thessaloniki.

The interaction and mutual influence among television, society and politics, private television’s position in today’s world and the way in which it can play a crucial role in society and politics without hurting itself are the main topics of the World Congress. International reputation journalists and politicians who discuss the future and the role of Television take part in the conference.

March 2001: Chair of the panel and participation in open discussions of the Symposium “Strategic approach of the on-line environment», held by research company Trek Consulting in Athens.

November 2001: Chair of the panel and participation in open discussions in Athens and Thessaloniki for the determination of actions within the frame of a new strategy planning for the information and communication within the EE.

The discussions are organized by the Ministry of Information and Press Office and the Delegation of the Greek European Committee.

October 2008: Chair of a panel and participation in open discussions in Thessaloniki and in Athens at the International Scientific two days Conference “Participatory Journalism: Blog and New Media? held by the Department of Journalism and Mass Media of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, upon personal suggestion.

The co-existence of traditional and participatory journalism among internationally acclaimed journalists and bloggers is being looked into by the academic community.

October 2008: Scientific coordinator and supervisor of student papers for the requirements of the third panel “Universities and New Media? at the International Scientific two days Conference “Participatory Journalism: Blog and New Media», held by the Department of Journalism and Mass Media of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
